Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Staff,
Ottawa Public Health (OPH), in collaboration with CHEO, is running a COVID-19 testing clinic for
students and staff from schools in your neighbourhood as well as their families. Getting tested is an
important step to identifying COVID-19 and preventing spread in the school and community setting.
Free COVID-19 test kits will be provided to use on the bus or at home and returned the same day.
Who can go:
Testing is intended for those without any symptoms of COVID-19. This includes people who are high-risk
contacts of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. No appointment is required.
COVID-19 Testing Clinic Details:
Wednesday,
May 26
Bayshore Field House 175 Woodridge Cres., Nepean, ON 10am - 1pm
Sir Robert Borden High School 131 Greenbank Rd., Nepean, On

About the Take-Home COVID-19 Test Kits:
The take-home test kits will consist of a combined mouth and nose swab, a convenient and easy test that
a child or adult can do themselves, or that can be done by a parent or caregiver. This test is less invasive
and better tolerated than the usual COVID-19 test and takes only seconds to complete. The take-home
test kits will include detailed instructions about administering the test, completing the form included in the
kit, labelling and storing the test sample, and where to return it.

How to Access Results:
After dropping off the completed test kit, you can access the COVID-19 result in approximately 36-48
hours in one of the following ways:
• MyChart Account: If you or your child has a CHEO MyChart account, you can view the result by
logging in to CHEO MyChart.
• OHIP Number: If you provided a valid OHIP number with your completed kit, you can access the test
result at

7600, ext. 6720. Please allow at least 48 hours after you submit the sample before contacting them with
