Parent Bulletin Dec. 10, 2021
We have one more week before students and families begin their winter break! During
the month of December, we have been recognizing celebrations that many of our students
celebrate. Through our learning of celebrations, students have discovered new vocabulary,
understood and welcomed a diversity of traditions. Students have discovered how lights are a
symbol and a common theme in many celebrations. Classes have also worked on discussions,
and written communication in French and English about the celebrations that are a part of their
identity and background.
This week, BCPS students donated 700 food items to our Bells Corners Food Bank!
Totals were graphed daily and students were able to understand how data is used to graph daily
totals and then plot totals on a graph. Through our daily announcements, we have shared our
progress to support our community and reinforce that BCPS is a community of learners who
care about each other.
