Dear BCPS Families,
Students and staff have been quite busy this month at BCPS! Select grade 6 students attended the Regional
borden ball tournaments with the support of families. A big thank you to your volunteer efforts: driving and helping
supervise our students. It is because of your time that our students are able to attend these opportunities.
Our Kindergarten classes and our Primary Behaviour Intervention Programme have led the food drive
initiative and we have gathered many items to support our community members in need. FAMSAC was very
appreciative of the donation we delivered today.
The Arts was an area of focus this month, as we welcomed Luv2Groove workshops. The dance instructors
worked all week with our students to get students moving and achieving curriculum goals in the area of dance and
physical education. Similarly, our Junior students gathered insight into composing music and they developed an
appreciation of folk music from a musical duo. Every learning experience is a result of our staff and their dedication
to provide a variety of opportunities to access the learning goals for our students. These thoughtful activities have
strong connections to curriculum with a focus on a culture of caring and social responsibility where community is our
focus.
